Melvin Nims
Melvin H. Nims, 69, of Beaverton, passed away suddenly at his home on July 26, 2007.
He was born on July 26, 1938 in Detroit, to Arthur and Virgie (Shorts) Nims Melvin retired from General Motors-Cadillac as a machinist He was also a veteran of World War II.
He had lived in Gladwin County since 1993, previously residing in Detroit.
He is survived by four daughters, Jennifer Nims who is currently stationed in Japan, Jaclyn Nims of Beaverton, Yvonne Nims of Romulus, Michigan, and Chris Nims of Redford, Michigan; one son, Thomas Nims of Troy, Michigan; one brother, David Nims of Nashville, Tennessee; four sisters, Jean Thomas of Cooksville, Tennessee, Barbara Kochan of Detroit, Mary Ann Bart of Allen Park, Michigan and Marilyn McGovern of Taylor, Michigan He was predeceased by his brother Max and sister Nora Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
Arrangements were made by Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. A private graveside service is being planned by the family.
