Michael Neville
Ray Michael Neville, 74, of Farmington Hills, formerly of Beaverton, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at Mary Wood Nursing Center in Livonia.
Ray was born in Flint, Michigan on April 23, 1933, the son of Ernest and Emeline Neville.
He was the former mayor of Beaverton, a member of the Lion's Club and the Knights of Columbus. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Ray was a pharmacist for the family owned Neville’s Pharmacy in Beaverton and Kmart for over 40 years. He married Margaret “Peggy” Ivey on Sept. 8, 1956.
Surviving are wife, Peggy; seven children, Carrie (Rick) Germain, Kevin (Peggy), Kathleen (Chuck) Irish, Rodney (Julie), Michele (Greg) Cameron, Bethany (Chris) Beaman, and Timothy Neville and Marisa Conte; 17 grandchildren; one brother, James; and life long friends, Jim and Maryanne Grant and family, and Debbie Bergman. He was predeceased by his parents.
Funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Flint with Father Robert F. Copeland officiating. Entombment was at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital or The Parkinson Foundation.
