William Nettleton
William W. Nettleton, 61, of 718 Ridge Rd., Gladwin, died Tuesday, Nov.
10, in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a long illness. Born in Gladwin Township on
August 3, 1920, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Nettleton was a TV repaiman was retired
from Robinson Industries. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Disabled
American Veterans Post 77. Mr. Nettleton and the former Elouise Gifford were married May 29,
1948, In Flint.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Rose Stutzman of Gladwin; 4 daughters,
Mrs. Andrew (Linda) Walters of New York, Mrs. Ernest (Juanita) Brown, Marjanna Shell and
Elizabeth of Gladwin; 2 sisters, Mrs. Josephine Kern of Beaverton and Mrs. Freda Looker of
Gladwin; one brother, Charles of Gladwin; and 9 grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at
11 a.m. from Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Rev. Herbert Biermann officiated and burial was in
the Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
