Donald Nettleton
(16 AUG 1923 – 19 AUG 1994)
Donald "Snoozie" Nettleton, 71, of Gladwin, died suddenly Friday, Aug. 19, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born in Eaton Rapids Aug. 16, 1923, the son of George Robert and Flossie Irene (Peters) Nettleton. He has lived in Gladwin most of his life. He was a master plumber for The Dow Chemical Co., and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He married the former Shirley Sansote Feb. 14, 1978, in Midland. She survives him. He also is survived by his daughters, Connie (Ron) Woodard, of Gladwin, and Georgia (Rod) Kigar of Gladwin; son Donald (Sharon) Nettleton of Gladwin; stepdaughter Lisa Thayer of Florida and stepson Michael Thayer of Clare; brothers Earlin (Marion) Nettleton of DeWitt and George (Pat) Nettleton of Gladwin; sisters Irene Davis of Owosso and Rena Mae (Gordon) Switzer of Gladwin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers.
Services will take place Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1994, at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, with the Rev. Donald Dengler officiating. Burial will be in McClure Cemetery in Gladwin. Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
