Edward Nerychel
Edward Nerychel, 87, of Beaverton passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at MidMichigan Gladwin Pines in Gladwin after a long illness.
He was born on Jan. 15, 1920 in St. Charles, Michigan to Frank and Rosa (Sisoke) Nerychel. Edward retired from General Motors Truck & Bus in Flint in 1981 after 30 years of service as a laborer.
He married Julia Hoffer July 28, 1945 in Owosso, Michigan.
He had lived in Gladwin County since 1983, previously residing in Flushing, Michigan.
Together he and Julia raised two sons, Edward Charles (Carol Ann) Nerychel of Cedar and John Joseph (Susan Lynn) Nerychel of Flushing, Michigan; their four grandchildren, Mike Nerychel of Lake Ann, Michigan, Dave Nerychel of Chicago, Illinois, Jaime Nerychel of Flushing and Julie Tufts of Exeter, Ontario; also left to cherish his memory is special friend, Pauline Berthume of Beaverton; and 16 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Julia; his parents; three brothers, Joe, Henry and Frank; and one sister, Hilda.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Beaverton. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home in Beaverton, with Pastor Brad Withrow officiating.
Burial will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
