Phillip Most
Phillip C. Most, 51, of 1002 N. M-30, Gladwin, died Wednesday, October 8,
in St. Joseph Hospital, Flint. Born January 28, 1924, in Gladwin, he was a veteran of World
War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed at the AC Sparkplug Division of General
Motors in Flint, for 31 years, returning to Gladwin County in September 1962. Mr. Most and the
former Mabel Whitman were married in 1944 in West Branch. He was a member of UAW Local 641.
Surviving are his wife Mabel; 1 son, Lawrence of Flint; 5 daughters, Mrs. Larry (Phyllis)
Anderson, Sandra, Sharon, Linda Sue, and Mrs. Kevin (Susan) Hawley, all of Gladwin; his mother,
Mrs. Berniece Most of Gladwin; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Galbrath of Flint; 3 brothers, Frederick
Jr. of Flint, Wayne of Goodrich and Ralph of Flushing; and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert
Biermann officiating and burial was in McClure Cemetery.
