ALFRED MONROE


  ALfred E. Monroe, 80, of 3511 W. Howard Road, Beaverton, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Clare Hospital, following a long illness. Born in Moscow, Mich., July 28, 1892, he was a veteran of World War I. Mrs. Monroe operated Monroe's gas station 2 miles north of Beaverton for 17 years.

  Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Joy Foy of Beaverton; two sons, Alfred J. of Los Angles, Calif., and Phillip of Flushing; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton, with the Rev. Byron Hatch officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery..
