Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Neva Mielke

   Neva Ione Mielke, 86, of Clare died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 at North Woods Nursing Center in Farwell.

   Mrs. Mielke was born Oct. 14, 1920 the daughter of Fred and Vernie (Brown) Demaray in Gladwin.

   She married Walter Carl Mielke, who preceded her in death in 1986.

   A life long resident of the Clare Area, she was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Clare and also the St. John Ladies Aide. Her favorite pastimes were crafting, sewing, traveling and working on the family farm.

   Surviving are three daughters, LaVale (James) Seiter of Clare, Helen (Ray) Rawson of Farwell and Theo Ann Geiger Coker of Clare; six grandchildren, Jeff (Vickie) Seiter, Steve Seiter, Steve (Marie) Rawson, Dave (Amy) Rawson, Karl (Jennifer) Geiger, and Kevin (Stacie) Geiger; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley, Allison, Emily, Brooke, Jack, Hunter, Brandon, Abbie and Owen; a sister, Rosemary (Albert) Anderson of Gladwin; and a brother, Virgil Demaray of Gladwin.

   Mrs. Mielke was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; two brothers, Ralph and Raymond Demaray; three sisters, Gladys Carper, Virgileen Ann Bruner and Verna Mae Wade; and a son-in-law, David W. Coker, Sr. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1002 N. McEwan in Clare. Pastor Paul Fetzer officiated. Burial followed in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Clare.

   Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or the St. John Ladies Aide. Services were entrusted to Campbell Stocking Family Funeral Home in Farwell.
