John McLaughlin
John McLaughlin was born in Wyandotte county, Ohio, August 20, 1857, and departed this life Dec. 29, 1927, of leakage of the heart. In 1891 he was united in marriage to Martha Myers in Paulding county, Ohio. To this union one son was; born. In 19.01 he moved to Ingham county, Michigan, and lived in and around Mason until 1915, when he came to Gladwin county where he has since resided. He had been in ill health a long time and after a week of intense suffering passed away leaving these precious words, "I am satisfied and ready to go." He leaves his bereaved wife, son Ernest and one brother, Edward, who was at his bedside and helped care for him. Services were conducted at the McClure church followed by interment in McClure cemetery.
