Daniel McLargin
An old resident of Gladwin county, passed away
April 2, 1932, at the home of his step-son, Edward
Lyons, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he had spent
the winter. His death came very suddenly while
returning from a trip to town accompanied by Mrs.
Lyons, who was greatly shocked by the scene of his
sudden call as he had apparently been in good health.
Mr. McLargin was born Dec. 23, 1861, near Toledo,
Ohio. At the age of 30 he was married to Melisse
Brooks who preceded him in death. He was afterwards
married to Mrs. Minnie S. Lyons who also preceded him
in death. He had many friends in his life's career
because of his cheerful way and kind disposition. Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Lyons brought the body to Gladwin for
burial.
He leaves to mourn his departure his stepson,
William Lyons, of Gladwin; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lyons of
Indianapolis, Indiana, with whom he made his home; one
sister, Mrs. Heller, of Wisconsin; two nieces and one
nephew and a host of friends. He was a member of the
L.D.S. church for 31 years. Funeral services were held
Friday afternoon, April 8, form the Butman church in
charge of Elder George W. White.
