William McKimmy
WILLIAM McKIMMY
William E. McKimmy, 65, of 218 Knox St., Beaverton, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Midland Hospital following a short illness. Born in Detroit on July 22, 1915, he had spent most of his life in Gladwin County. He was an operating engineer with Local 324 and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. McKimmy and the former Myrtle Jane Keeler were married January 14, 1938, in Beaverton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Dirk, James, Randy and Michael of Beaverton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Jolita) Warren of Midland, Mrs. Kim (Sally) Majoske of Bay City and Marjorie of Cadillac; his mother, Mrs. Theresa McKimmy of Bay City; 2 sisters, Mrs. Alma Page of Beaverton and Mrs. Marjorie Black of Southfield; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Henry List officiated with cremation following. .
