Paul McKimmy
Paul E. McKimmy, 78, of 210 S. Ross St., Beaverton, died Thursday, March 8, in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a long illness. Born in Wasseon, Ohio, April 29, 1906, he spent his lifetime in Gladwin County. He was a dairy farmer and a member of the Church of the Brethren, Mr. McKimmy was a member of the Gladwin County Farm Bureau, a past director at the Soil Conservation District and was a director of the Production Credit Association for 18 years. He was married to the former Lottie Burket July 1, 1930, in Beaverton. Beside his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Thomas of Beaverton and Jacob of Fenton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Burgess of Midland and Mrs. Norman (Marilyn) Chalifoux of Houston, Texas, 2 sisters, Mrs. Florence Peterson of Mt. Dora, Fla. and Mrs. Ethel Witkovsky of Beaverton; and 12 grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Mike Clark officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
