Mary McKimmy
Mrs. Mary E. McKimmy, 94, of 1900 W. Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 1991, in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, after a long illness. Born in Lake Odessa, April 5, 1896, she spent most of her lifetime in Gladwin County. Mrs. McKimmy was a school teacher in the Beaverton schools and retired in 1960. She was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren and a 40 year member of the Home Extension.
The former Mary Mote and J. Ray McKimmy were married June 6, 1920, in Beaverton. Beside her husband, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. A son, Raymond died in 1936. Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Michael Clark officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Donations may be made to the donor's choice. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel.
