Jacob McKimmy
Jacob Luther McKimmy, 69, Noblesville, Indiana walked into the arms of his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville.
Jake was born July 31, 1938 in Beaverton. Jacob worked for General Motors for 33 years, retiring in 1995, after an auto accident on June 12, 1995 left him a quadriplegic.
Jacob served in the Army Reserves. He loved hunting. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Freedom Center in Beaverton. His home church was Church of the Brethren in Beaverton.
He is survived by his wife, Janet McKimmy; two daughters, Patricia Mahoney and Peggy McKimmy; two sons, Michael McKimmy and Kirk McKimmy; brother, Thomas McKimmy; two sisters, Jane Burgess and Marilyn Chalifoux; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lottie (Burkett) and Paul McKimmy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Beaverton Church of the Brethren in Beaverton. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Brethren, 3783 Shock Rd., Beaverton, MI 48612.
