Hulda McKimmy
Illness Fatal to Mrs. McKimmy
Mrs. Hulda R. McKimmy, 82, passed away at her home in Beaverton this morning, December 15, after an illness of only five weeks. Funeral services will be held at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren on Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Mrs. McKimmy will be taken to Adrian, where services will be held on Sunday at the Church of the Brethren and burial will be made in Zion cemetery, Lenawee county.
Hulda Stutzman was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on May 16, 1866. She was married to Theodore McKimmy on October 6, 1887 in Fulton county, Ohio. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 5, 1947, with all of their family at home for the occasion.
The first twenty-five years of their married life the McKimmys spent on a farm in Lenawee county, moving to Beaverton on a farm 36 years ago, where they have lived until 1945 when they made their home in Beaverton city.
Surviving are Mr. McKimmy; two sons, Royal R. McKimmy of Beaverton and David B. McKimmy of Toledo, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Kintner of Adrian, Mrs. Clara Hughes and Mrs. Doris Horn of Beaverton; 29 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. One daughter and three sons preceded their mother in death.
