RITES HELD for CLAYTON McKIMMY

   Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren for Clayton McKimmy, 76, well known Tobacco Township resident, who died Saturday at the Midland Hospital after an eight day illness. the Rev. Arthur Whisler and the Rev. Randall Roose officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Born in Lenawee County on March 12, 1887, he was married to the former Hazel Smith on March 15, 1914 in Beaverton. She preceded him in death on August 11, 1953.

   Surviving are four sons, Ronald, of Portland, Ore., John, of Whitewater, Wisc., Milford, of Corvallis, Ore., and Howard, of Beaverton; seven daughters, Mrs. Helen Fry, Mrs. Mildred Bergman and Mrs. June Havens, of Beaverton, Mrs. Alice Mayer, of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Margaret Pietras, of Saginaw, Mrs. Iola Whitehead, of Phoenix and Mrs. May Covey, of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Jay Ray McKimmy, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Yager, of Beaverton; and 37 grandchildren.
