Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Benjamin Franklin McKimmy

   His Death Occurred Tuesday Morning of Heart Disease.
   Benjamin McKimmy, the old soldier whose death at 44 Chestnut street early yesterday morning was briefly mentioned in Tuesday's Telegram, had been a resident of Adrian for perhaps 15 years and was a native of West Virginia. Mr. McKimmy who was about 70 years of age, contracted a severe cold which affected the kidneys and then suddenly went to the heart, about midnight Monday causing his death at 3:30 Tuesday morning. He had been able to be up and about the house and to sit in his chair through his illness.
   Mr. McKimmy's wife died about four years ago, and since then he and one of his daughters, Mrs. Susie Young, have resided together. Mr. McKimmy had lived in Lenawee county for about 28 years and formerly resided at Ogden immediate survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Susie Young and Mrs. Will Myers, both residents of Adrian, and one son, A.G. McKimmy of Vincennes, Ind., who was in Oklahoma at the time of the death of his father, but who arrives Thursday.
   Funeral services are arranged for Friday at 10 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Myers at 23 Finch street and under the auspices of Woodbury Post G.A.R.
