Virginia McKenna

   Virginia Rose McKenna, 84, of Titusville, Florida passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 at her residence.

   Virginia was born in Mt Pleasant. She moved to Brevard County in 1965 from Anaheim, California She was a nurse in the United States Army during World War II. She served in New Guinea/Philippines as 1st Lieutenant, and she graduated from Catholic University in Washington D.C. in 1949.

   She was a member of St Teresa Catholic Church, worked as a hospice volunteer and was an avid bridge player Virginia was a homemaker and loved to travel.

   Surviving are her sons, Mark (Diane) and Patrick of West Palm Beach, Florida, Joseph (Pattie) of Titusville, and Sean (Celia Brandt) of Port St. John; daughter, Mary (Bob) Mestrez of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Erin, Megan, Jared, Kelly, Aubrey, Patrick and Maureen; two great-grandchildren, Mark and Trevor; two brothers, Jim (Betty) Sheehan and Bob Sheehan; and three sisters, Florence (Gene) Lipp, Mary Hutchins and Betty Cech. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3, 2007 at St Teresa Catholic Church Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of St Francis, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, FL 32780.
