Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Robert McDonald

   Robert A. McDonald, 58, and formerly of Gladwin, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Town & Country Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Highland Park Sept. 10, 1926, he moved to Gladwin County in 1944. He was a carpenter for the Grand Trunk Railroad and a veteran of World War II. Mr. McDonald was married to the former Mary Louk.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Ida Ellsworth of Durand, Mary Ann McDonald of Palm Bay, Fla. and Cindy Carper of Florida; one son, Robert J.; a sister, Kathline McMillan of Johnston, Pa.; and 12 grandchildren.

   Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Jaynes officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery with graveside rites by VFW Post 7303.
