Betty McDaniel

   Betty Jean McDaniel, 85, passed away on April 2, 2007 at her home in Beaverton surrounded by love and with much support of her whole family, friends and the Heartland Hospice group of Bay City.

   Betty was born on July 8, 1921 in Saginaw She married Lyle E McDaniel on May 29, 1947.

   She was a longtime member of Beaverton VFW Ladies Auxiliary 7303, worked as a Crossing Guard for Beaverton Schools and also volunteered at The Gladwin Pines Nursing Home.

   She is survived by her husband, Lyle Edward McDaniel, her five children, Philip McDaniel of Sebring, Florida, Lynda (Dick) Brushaber of Beaverton, Teri (David) Pratt of Sebring, Florida, Kevin McDaniel of Beaverton, and Colette (John) Johnston of Coleman; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren She is predeceased by her parents, Lester and Jessie Beach (formerly of Midland); sister, Madline Shetzley (of Midland); two grandchildren, Aaron and Joe Pratt of Florida.

   Our Mom and Wife may be gone, but will never be forgotten for her generous love, kindness and much joy she shared with others.

   Visitation is Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 1-9 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, 430 S. Ross St., Beaverton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Beaverton Chapel. Burial will take place at Midland Memorial in Midland.

   Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Bay City or The Aaron and Joe Pratt Scholarship Fund Gladwin High School.
