Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Helen McCormick

   Helen M. McCormick, 79, of Gladwin died Jan. 30, 2007 at MidMichigan Medical Center- Gladwin.

   She was born Oct. 24, 1927 to Omer and Bernice (Barber) Berry in Flint.

   Helen was a homemaker and lived in Gladwin County since 1973. She previously resided in Davison.

   Helen was a member of Trinity Missionary Church in Burton; her parents were founding members of the church.

   On Oct. 22, 1948 Helen married Donald in Burton. He predeceased her in 1976.

   Surviving are two daughters, Carol (Russell) Newman of Gladwin, and Iris McCormick and friend Dan of Gladwin; five sons, Elwood McCormick of Gladwin, David McCormick and fiance Millie of Burton, Robert (Darlene) McCormick of Coleman, Dan (Angie) McCormick of Gladwin, and Don Jack (Carrie) McCormick of Midland; one sister, Lula Shinabarger of Dowling; one brother, Homer Berry of Burton; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; five brothers and sisters; and two daughters-in-law, Wanda McCormick and Cheryle McCormick.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin Burial will be in Pinegrove Cemetery in Davison.

   Visitation is Friday, Feb. 2 from 3-9 p.m. at the funeral home Memorial contributions may be made to Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
