William McColley
RITES HELD FOR WM. MCCOLLEY
William H. (Wid) McColley, 72, of Gladwin Township, died Thursday, May 29, in Saginaw
Veterans Hospital, after an illness of several months. Born in Ohio, on Sept. 11, 1896, he
was a farmer and a veteran of World War I. Mr. McColley had lived in Gladwin County since he
was two years old. He had never married.
Surviving are two brothers, Cloyce, of Gladwin and Carl, of Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel
Peters, of Lansing and Mrs. Lina Porterfield, of Burt. Rites were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from
the Miner Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Allen officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery.
