SOUNDED HORN

   Witnesses at the inquest testified that Hoard sounded the horn on his car several times before he struck the McClure boy. The Hoard car was traveling at about 50 miles per hour, witnesses said. Serving on the coroner's jury who heard the testimony Tuesday were Jerry Page, Ells Smallwood, Loris Roberts, Thomas Dunn, Harry Hood, and William Miller. The inquest was conducted by Coroner Harry F. Rogers and assistant Prosecutor Bourke C. Wilmot.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Gladwin Methodist Church with the Rev. Floyd N. Drake officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Surviving in addition to the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen McClure, are five sisters, Mrs. Gwendola Butler, Miss Donna McClure, Mrs. Marian Grove and Mrs. Hazel Johnson, all of Flint and Mrs. Wilma Goldsmith, of Reed City; and three brothers, Pvt. William J. McClure, of Camp Edwards, Massachuettes; Pvt. Harry McClure, of Camp Pine, New York; and Glen McClure, at home.
