Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice

DIED AT HOSPITAL

   The car's left fender and head-light him and threw him across to the east side of the road. Deputy Sheriff Archie Fritz and Coroner Harry Rogers were immediately summonded and took the boy to the Gladwin Hospital where he died a few minutes after he was admitted. He had suffered a fractured skull, a broken neck, leg fractures and chest injuries. An inquest into the accident was held Tuesday and will be continued Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses at the hearing included Dr. K. D. Coulter, of the Gladwin Hospital; William Lyons, of Gladwin; Deputy Sheriff Archie Fritz; Gordon Batchelder a nephew of Mr. Hoard who was a passenger in the Hoard car at the time of the accident; and Mr. Hoard an employee of the Ohio Oil Company, driver of the car. The inquest will be continued Wednesday to hear the testimony of Mr. Neilsen, who Sheriff Cowell was unable to locate Tuesday.
