Richard C. Maxson
Richard C. Maxson, 65, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, July 24, 1996 at
MidMichigan Regional Medical Center - Gladwin following a sudden illness. Born March 22,
1931 in Sac City, Iowa, he resided in Beaverton since 1968 when he moved from Detroit. Mr.
Maxson had been employed as a mechanical assembler at Brown Machine Co. in Beaverton for 25
years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Maxson was a member of the Gladwin
County VFW Post 7303 and enjoyed bowling and bingo. Mr. Maxson married the former Dorothy Murry. Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Paul and wife Kandy of Beaverton, Chuck and wife
Judy of Gladwin, Christopher and wife Laurie of Inverness, Fla., and Michael and wife Lori of
Cape Coral, Fla.; 2 daughters, Mildred and husband Brad Watts of Saginaw, and Linda York of Taylor;
one sister, Mildred McGrath of Royal Oak; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a son, William Maxson in 1962.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 27 from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton chapel.
Joseph White officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Gladwin.
