Leon A. Matteson
Leon A. Matteson, 63, of Detroit, died Wednesday, July 12, at Detroit General
Hospital. Born in Kensington, Kan., November 9, 1908, he came to Michigan in 1933 and had lived
in Detroit since 1938. He was a barber by trade.
Surviving are three brothers, Chester of Gladwin, Floyd of Alma, and Richard of Whitmore Lake;
four sisters, Mrs. Helen Whitten of Hastings, Neb., Mrs. Marjorie Whitten of Metamora, Mrs. Ruth
Matteson and Mrs. Anne Teal, both of Imlay City.
Services were held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Briggs
officiating and burial was in Ridge Cemetery.
