Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice

Thomas Mason

Thomas Mason, an employe at the lumber camp of Thomas Nester on the Sugar, died suddenly Monday morning of last week. He had been suffering from billiousness, although able to work as usual, and on Sunday drank nearly a pint of salt and water under the impression that it would serve as an emetic, and relieve him of his billiousness. In two hours he was unconscious, having never rallied from the moment he yielded to the influence of the fatal draught. The body was taken down to Saginaw City on the evening train Monday. Deceased was a single man about 35 year's of age, and was well known among the lumber boys of these parts. We understand that he has relatives near Ottawa, Ont.
