MAX E. MARTIN (ABT. 1924 - 15 OCT 1948)
CPL. MAX MARTIN BURIED IN BILLINGS
Funeral services were held for Corporal Max Martin, 24, on Monday, October 18 at the Hall Funeral Home, with burial in the Billings cemetery. The Rev. Donald Sailor, pastor of the Beaverton Methodist church officiated.
Cpl. Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Martin, of Billings, died on October 15 at Percy Jones hospital of pneumonia complications. He re-enlisted after serving in the Air Force in Europe during the war and was stationed in Frankfort, Germany, when he contracted pneumonia in December 1947. He was flown to Percy Jones Hospital last March.
Surviving are his wife and daughter, in Germany; his parents andents; five brothers, Victor, Harold, Kenneth, Ernest and Richard; and four sisters, Mrs. Marian Branscom, Virginia Haney, Mrs. Goldie Morse and Mrs. Gladys Clark..
