RITES TODAY FOR KENNETH MARTIN
Kenneth Warren Martin, 41, a state Conservation Department fire officer, died Sunday at his home in Standish after a three-year illness. He was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Billings Township, and lived in that area until seven years ago when he moved to Standish. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Standish. He was married to the former Margaret Erway in Beaverton on August 6, 1947.
Survivors include his widow, Margaret; one daughter, Sandra, and one son, David, both at home; his father, Irvin Martin; four sisters, Mrs. Marian Branscom, Mrs. Virginia Haney, and Mrs. Goldie Morse, of Midland; and Mrs. Gladys Clark, of Wisconsin; four brothers, Victor, of Hockaday, Harold, of Billings Township, and Ernest and Richard, of Midland.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. from the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Standish, with the Rev. Theodore Fry officiating. Burial will be in Billings Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
