Victor Marsh
Victor H. Marsh, 76, of 4307 Charletois, Beaverton, died Saturday, May 4 in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Jackson Aug. 12, 1908, he came to Gladwin County in 1975 from Royal Oak. He was an industrial engineer for Chrysler Corp. in Highland Park for 17 years until retiring in August 1973. Mr. Marsh was a member of the Beaverton Masonic Lodge 453, the Beaverton O.E.S. 386, Elf Khurafeh Shrine and the Frontier Shrine Club of Gladwin. He was a past matron of Royal Oak Masonic Lodge 392.
Mr. Marsh and the former Beatrice Browning were married July 18, 1969, in Royal Oak.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Marilyn) Darbyshire of Bluffton, Ohio and Mrs. Clark (Vicki) Hall of Temperence; one brother, Laverne of Leesburg, Fla.; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Beaverton Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Aeron Davies officiated and burial was in the Spring Arbor Cemetery. A Masonic Memorial Service was held at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel Monday at 8 p.m. with an Order of Eastern Star service following. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Masonic Home or the [illegible] Chapter of the Order of Eastern Stars.
