Royal E. Marsh
Royal E. Marsh, 92, a lifelong resident of Edenville, died at his home Friday, January 11, following a short illness.
Mr. Marsh died on the family farm in Edenville, where he was born June 22, 1881. He worked the farm, which has been designated a centennial farm, until his retirement a number of years ago. Mr. Marsh and the former Celian Nolin were married in 1905 in Saginaw.
Surviving are his wife, Celian; 4 sons, Howard of Watinsonville, Calif., Clifton, Donald and Preston, all of Edenville; a sister, Mrs. Celia Ledford of Tennessee; 23 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. One son and a daughter preceded him in death.
Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Edenville with Elder Delmar Burke officiating. Burial was in Edenville Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
