George Marme
FORMER GLADWIN MAN DIES OF GUN WOUND
George Marme, 40, a former Gladwin resident died last week in Vanderbilt, Michigan, from
a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Otsego authorities who investigate the case, termerd his death
a suicide. Mr. Marme was employed here several years ago by the Young Oil Company and had many
local friends.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Marme of Flint, he was born April 29, 1898, in Chicago. He is
survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Marme of Flint and four children. Funeral services were held
here Saturday at 2 p.m. with Major General Smith, of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial was
in Highland cemetery. Local Legionaires acted as pall-bearers.
