Eva Manor

Eva E. Manor, 90, of Alger passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006 with her loving granddaughter Elise at her side. Eva was born on July 20, 1915 in Michigan to the late Charles and Edol Fall. She was married to Clarence A. Manor on July 25, 1931; he preceded her in death after 71 years of loving marriage. Eva was a dedicated stay at home mother who provided a loving and nurturing home filled with compassion and unconditional love. She gladly set aside her dream of becoming an interior decorator to stay at home and assist raising her grandchildren. Although her grandchildren were her first love, Eva also enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, knitting, baking, sewing, bird watching and visiting with family and friends. Eva created a loving home welcoming all with open arms.

Eva is survived by her grandchildren, Marc Burns, Bethany Rasmusson, Kevin Burns and Elise Burns; a sister, Geneva Himes of Tawas; many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three children, Darell, Richard, Donna, and two brothers and one sister. The family would like to extend a loving thanks to the dedicated care givers who became close “girlfriends” who assisted kindly in filling her last months at home with joy, laughter and love.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Oakwood Mausoleum chapel in Saginaw. Memorials may be directed to the Helping Hands Hospice of West Branch.
