Lois Malcomnson
Mrs. Lois Malcomnson, 66, of 673 W. Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Tuesday, March 21, in Ingham County of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born in Kosciuszko, Ind., on May 30, 1911, she had spent most of her life in Gladwin County. Mrs. Malcomnson was a school teacher in the Sanford and Beaverton areas and had spent her lifetime teaching music, performing and composing. She was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren.
She was married to Howard Malcomnson on September 11, 1930, in Roscommon. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, John of Davison; one daughter, Mrs. Seth (Mary) Cotton of Grant; one sister, Mrs. Iva McKimmy of Anderson, S.C.; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A son, Robert and one daughter, Ruth preceded her in death.
Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Henry List officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
