John T. Lytle
PASSES CENTURY MARK
JOHN LYTLE REACHES RIPE AGE OF 103 YEARS
 John Lytle, aged 103 years, died at the home of his
son, William Lytle in Grout township, Saturday evening
Dec. 31, 1921, having been very feeble for years. He
was born at Clover Hill county, Cavan, Ireland, March
25, 1819. When a young man he came to America, and was
married Oct. 1, 1861, to Catherine Richeson of Omenee,
Ont., who passed away April 20, 1908, at their home in
Grout township where they came about 35 years ago.
 To this union were born six children, William Lytle
and Mrs. Sadie McCulloch of Gladwin county; Mrs.
Elizabeth Brown of Peterboro, Ont.; Mrs. Mary Neiper
of Grand Rapids; who survive him; Robert Lytle who
died May 12, 1921, and Anna, who died in June 1895.
 Funeral services were held at the Gladwin M.E.
church Monday afternoon, Jan. 2, Rev. E. T. Smith,
officiating.
