Earl Loveless
Earl E. Loveless, 74, of 3877 W. M-61, Gladwin, died Monday, Jan. 13, in the
Midland Hospital Center after a long illness. Born in Hackleburg, Ala., July 25, 1911, he came
to Gladwin County in December from mt. Morris. He retired in 1971 after 22 years with Chevrolet
Manufacturing in Flint. Mr. Loveless was a veteran of the Navy during World War II. He was a
member of the D.A.V. Wolverine Post 33 Flint and the UAW Local 659 Flint. Mr. Loveless and the
former Myrtle Rhoades were married Oct. 30, 1942, in Kennett, Mo.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Lilly Wally of Hackleburg, Ala.; 4 grandchildren
and 6 great grandchildren. A step-son, Talmage Johnson, preceded him in death Aug. 8, 1968. Rites
were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Mark
Moore officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Graveside military rites were by the
Gladwin County VFW Post 73.
