Harold Loose
Harold J. Loose, 56, of 2418 South, M-18, Beaverton, died Sunday, May 3,
in Michigan Veterans Facility, Grand Rapids, following a long illness. Born in Midland
July 12, 1924, he had lived in Gladwin County since 1956. Mr. Loose owned Harold's Marina
in Edenville and was a veteran of World War II. He and the former Betty Craig were married
May 16, 1944, in Midland.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Doug of Gladwin, Gary of St. Petersburg, Fla.
and Scott of Beaverton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Christine) Schumacher and Mrs. Randolph
(Janet) Stoike of Gladwin; his mother, Mrs. Vera Loose of Midland; 2 brothers, Arnold and
Richard of Midland; 4 sisters, Mrs. Wilma Moore and Mrs. Shirley Marsh of Midland, Mrs. Ethel
Husted of Edenville and Mrs. Carolyn Bergeron of Sanford; 2 half-brothers, Maynard and Milford
Pressnell of Midland; and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held today, Wednesday, from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev.
Father Robert Henley officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
