Martin Looker
Martin W. Looker, 56, died Monday, March 19, at his home at 249 West Winegars
Rd., Gladwin, following a long illness. Born in Gladwin County on September 25, 1922, he had
spent his lifetime here. Mr. Looker was employed by the Dow Chemical Co., He was a veteran of
World War II and a member of the D.A.V. He and the former Freda Nettleton were married on June 13,
1942, in Fenton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Marian Porter and Mrs. Lavern (Karen)
Gedney of Gladwin and Mrs. Richard (Betty Jo) Valley of Standish; 2 sons, Martin and William of
Gladwin; 5 sisters, Mrs. Lucille Knowlton of Saginaw, Mrs. Marian Beeman of Midland, Mrs. Hope Gingery
and Mrs. Myrth Burwick of Flint and Mrs. Joy Bailey of Florida. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev.
Herbert Biermann will officiated and burial will be in the McClure Cemetery.
