Harry Lewis
Harry C. Lewis, 74, of Clement Township, died suddenly at his daughter's home
Tuesday of a heart attack. Born in Madison County, Ind., on Sept. 9, 1897, he had lived in Gladwin
County since 1929. Mr. Lewis was a farmer and also drove a West Branch school bus for 20 years. He
was a veteran of World War I, a member of the WW I Barracks no. 3421 and a former member of the
Gladwin County Soldiers Relief Committee. Mr. Lewis and the former Florence Stuck were married on
Jan. 27, 1917, in Flint.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Gamm of Clement Township; one
brother, Thomas of Elwood, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Edith Houchin of Terra Haute, Ind.; six grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin.
Burial will be in the McClure Cemete.
