Lawrence Lemke
Laurence V. Lemke, 70, of Gladwin passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Mid Michigan Medical Center- Midland.
He was born July 14, 1936 in Gladwin to William and Ernestine (Fitz) Lemke.
Lawrence married the former Gertrude Endert on Oct 4, 1958 in Gladwin.
He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church Lawrence lived and farmed in Gladwin County all his life. He loved to deer hunt, do woodworking and raised Belgium Draft Horses and quarter horses He loved to help and enjoyed the 4-H kids.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; one daughter, Marlene Foor of Gladwin; one grandson, Brian Foor; one sister, Virginia Landenberger of Gladwin; one brother, Leonard Lemke of Trenton; and a half sister, Edna Walsh Lemke of Mt. Clemens. Lawrence is predeceased by three infant sons; one brother; four half sisters; and three half brothers.
Services were held Friday, March 16, 2007 at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Rev Matthew Schultz officiated and burial was in Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church Building Fund. Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
