Mrs. Phebe A. Laycock
Mrs. Phebe A. Laycock died Jan. 16, 1927, at her home at Shelldrake Springs, New York.
She was born near Kingston, Ont., June 23, 1845, and was 81 years, six months and 21 days old. She was married Dec. 26, 1871, to Alexander Laycock, who died March 31, 1915, at Gladwin, where they had been residents 21 years. Early in life she joined the Methodist Episcopal church.
She is survived by three sons, and one daughter, Frank and Herbert Laycock and Mrs. Edith Spooner of Shelldrake Springs, N.Y., and Fred Laycock of Gladwin; one sister, Mrs. Maude Harker of Heron, Montana, 15 grandchildren, 10 nephews and four nieces.
Funeral services were held at the home at Shelldrake Springs, Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 18, conducted by Rev. Jeffers. The body was shipped to Gladwin and burial took place in Highland cemetery with services at the grave conducted by Rev. R. S. Miller.
