Alexander Laycock
ALEXANDER LAYCOCK ANSWERS DEATH'S CALL
   Alexander Laycock died March 31 at his home in Gladwin city from acute bronchitis after several weeks' illness.

   He was born near Kingston, Ont., July 23, 1842, and was married to Phebe Ann Spike Dec. 26, 1871. They have been residents of Gladwin county 21 years, Mr. Laycock having been a successful farmer until he retired from the farm a few years since owing to poor health and moved to the city. Mr. Laycock was the last of a family of nine.

   He is survived by his wife and four children, Frank Laycock of Interlaken, N.Y., Fredand Herbert Laycock and Mrs. Edith Spooner of the city, besides 11 grandchildren.

   Services were held at the house Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. C.E. King. Interment in Highland cemetery.
