Samuel Lawrence
SERVICES THURSDAY FOR SAM LAWRENCE
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home for Samuel
Lawrence, 67, who died on Monday, August 3, in Veterans Hospital, Saginaw, after an illness
of one month. The Rev. Ross E. Tracy will officiate and burial will be in Highland cemetery.
Mr. Lawrence was born on August 28, 1891, in St. Clare, West Virginia. He came to Gladwin County
22 years ago and worked in the oil fields a number of years. Later he was employed by the County
Road Commission, retiring about two years ago. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving him is
one sister, Mrs. Cora Lockard, of St. Marys, West Virginia.
