Leotis Lake

SERVICES HELD FOR LEOTIS LAKE

   Leotis L. Lake, 58, died at the home of his mother in Gladwin city on Saturday evening, June 21. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Alma Wegner officiated. The burial service under the auspices of the Gladwin Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, was held on Tuesday morning.

   Mr. Lake was born in Van Wert County, Ohio on November 11, 1889. He has made his home in Gladwin for the past 6 years. Mr. Lake was known to his friends in Gladwin as "Rocky" Lake. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Loretta Lake, of Gladwin; four sons, Jesse, and Lowell Lake of St. Louis, Missouri and Gordon and Theodore Lake in the U.S. Army; three daughters, Belvia of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Leota Bates, of Muskegon and Mrs. Leora Hogan of Neodesha, Kansas; a brother, Herman Lake of Spearfish, South Dakota and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Ayre, of Flint.
