John Basil Ladner
JOHN BASIL LADNER John
B. Ladner, 48, of 111 Saginaw St., Beaverton died Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the
Midland Hospital following a long illness. Born in New Brunswick, Can., on
October 7, 1929, he moved to Gladwin County in 1945 from Mt. Clemens. Mr.
Ladner was employed by Dow Co., as an electrician. He was a veteran of the
Korean War and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. He and
the former Madonna McKimmy were married on July 11, 1953, in Midland.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Linda of Beaverton; 3
sons, James of Midland, Dan and Thomas of Beaverton; his mother, Mrs. E.
Georgina Ladner of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Annie Frey of Lathrup
Village; and one brother Ty of Midland.
Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church. The Rev.
Father Joseph Castanier officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart
Cemetery. A wake service was held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hall Funeral
Home, Beaverton Chapel..
