Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
Marie LaCrosse

   Marie Agnes LaCrosse, 66, of Midland, left this world to walk with the Lord in eternal life on Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at Schnepps Health Care Center in St. Louis.

   The daughter of the late Lester L. Dennings Sr. of Clare and Rose A. Dennings of Gladwin, was born on Feb. 10, 1939 in Ottawa, Ohio. The family moved to the Gladwin area later that year. She attended the Beaverton Schools, graduating in 1958. She worked as a waitress at Roberts Restaurant in Beaverton and Patís Drive-in Restaurant in Midland. Marie married August M. LaCrosse Jr. on Feb. 23, 1960 in Escanaba. He predeceased her on July 22, 1972.

   She was a loving and devoted mother who loved camping and traveling. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, knitting and cooking for family gatherings. She was a warmhearted person who welcomed all into her home.

   She is survived by her children, August M. (Jelene) LaCrosse III of Midland, Marie E. LaCrosse of Midland, Sharon K. LaCrosse of Wayne, Ellen (Clarence) Krenek of Brazoria, Texas, Patricia D. Plank of Lafayette, Louisiana; a brother, Lester (Jean) Dennings of Hemlock; and a sister, Rita Dennings of Gladwin. Grandmaís precious grandchildren are August M. LaCrosse IV, Charles E. Glaser LaCrosse, Patricia and Daniel Andrick, Amie and Eric Perry, Mary Gallien, Ann Rider all of Midland, Dawn Secrist, Steven Secrist of Texas. She is also survived by 17 Great-grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the Midland Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3490 East Baker Road. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the LaCrosse family.

   Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors, where there will be no visitation or services. If you are unable to visit with the family in person, you may send your condolences through www.waresmithwoolever. com.
