Lydia Kource
Lydia “Boots” Kource, 80, of Hope passed away Feb. 28, 2008 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland following a short illness.
She was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan Feb. 17, 1928 to Otto and Lydia (Reinick) Zimmerman.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Gladwin County for 39 years, previously residing in Utica. She was a member of Albright Shores Eagles Auxiliary Aerie #3655 and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beaverton.
Lydia married John H. Kource March 1, 1947 in Mt. Clemens. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She is survived by two sons, John (Mary) Kource of Ray, Michigan and Brian (Debra) Kource of Sterling Heights; one daughter, Theresa (Bruce) Kource of Beaverton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bud Zimmerman of Davison. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her parents.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 3, 2008 at Hall- Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. She will be laid to rest in Billings Township Cemetery in Beaverton. Memorial contributions can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or to be used according to the wishes of the family.
