Esther Kotwicki
Esther L. Kotwicki, 95, passed away Dec. 31, 2006 at her daughter’s home with her family by her side. She was born July 30, 1911 in Alpena to the late Joseph and Catherine (Filarski) Kieliszewski.
She married Robert Kotwicki Nov. 23, 1936 in Alpena. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1985. She moved to Gladwin from Alpena in 1994. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by one son, Philip (Lee) Kotwicki of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; six daughters, Carole (Richard) Cavagnol of Farmington Hills, Joan (Pat) Turner of Gladwin, Barbara (Thomas) Metiva of Freeland, Susan (Kenneth) Bumbalaugh of Lewiston, Patricia Kotwicki (Randy Wolbert) of Kalamazoo, and Lois (Robert) Gay of Kalamazoo; 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one sister, Jean Sequin of Alpena. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
Celebration of the funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m Wednesday, Jan. 3 with Rev John Cotter presiding and burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Alpena.
Memorials may be made to the Gladwin Living Centre activities fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
