shirley Kober
Shirley C. Kober, 81, of Coleman, passed away June 17, 2006 at her home after a long illness. She was born April 22, 1925 to Leonard and Syvlia (Tiebough) Ash in Los Angeles. She was a waitress and lived in Midland County since 1973, having previously resided in Los Angeles. She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of Beaverton Baptist Church. She married Harold Kober Jan. 18, 1966 in Santa Monica, Calif.
Surviving are her husband, Harold Kober of Coleman; five daughters, Judy Tracy of Laguna Migel, Calif., Jeri Vedder of Honolulu, Candace (Robert) Barnes of Culver City, Calif., Lori (William) Tinnen of Denver, Colo., Robin (Michael) Barret of Santa Monica; one step-son, Karl John (Vanessya) Kober of Saint Mary’s, Ga.; two step-daughters, Lisa (Dan) Buckingham of Clear Water, Fla. and Stephanie (Robert) Stebbins of Ellijay, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; six Greatgrandchildren; and one Greatgreat- grandchild. She is predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Leonard and Leasher.
Memorial services will be June 25, 2006 at 6 p.m. at Beaverton Baptist Church. Pastor Jeremy Smith will officiate.
