Amos Knowlton

RITES HELD FOR AMOS KNOWLTON

   Amos W. Knowlton, 78, of Sage Township, died at his home Friday after a short illness. Born in Van Wert, Ohio on Jan. 28, 1889, he was a veteran of World War I and a retired farmer. Mr. Knowlton was married to the former Grace Gould on Nov. 20, 1912, in Gladwin. She preceded him in death on Jan. 15, 1953.

   Surviving are one brother, Oscar of Sage Township; and one sister, Mrs. Horace Stickney, also of Sage. Rites were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. M. R. Putnam officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery.
